The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) was authorized by the American Recovery Plan (ARP) and signed into law March 11, 2021 to provide support to institutions of higher education to serve students and ensure learning continues during the COVID-19 pandemic. ARP funds are HEERF funds in addition to funds authorized by the CRRSAA and CARES Act.

Williston State college will give all currently enrolled (as of November 1, 2021) degree-seeking students ARP HEERF III funds. Pell-eligible students were identified as the students with exceptional need. We also have a second category of recipients who are all other degree-seeking, (截至11月1日, 2021). We are not focusing on credit-load, they just had to be degree-seeking and enrolled. We determined that a total of 647 students were eligible. Distributions will be processed on December 10, 2021. A recipient of the ARP HEERF III grant received an email notification on December 6, 2021. ARP HEERF III grant amounts will be viewable on 校园连接 under the 金融援助 tile on Thursday, 12月9日, 2021. The ARP HEERF III grant may be used to cover any component of a student’s cost of attendance (COA), or for emergency costs that arise due to COVID-19, 包括学费, 食物, 住房, 保健和儿童保健. Refunds will begin Friday, December 10, 2021. If the student has not enrolled in direct deposit, a paper check will be issued and can be picked up in Student Finance, 史蒂文斯厅204. The check will automatically be mailed to the student's mailing address on file 10 business days after the check has been issued.
